Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel, successfully organized the Late Shri Janardan Bhagat Memorial Lecture Series from 5th March to 7th March 2025 in the college seminar hall. The event was convened by Dr. Mamta Bhattacharjee (Assistant Professor) and Ms. Janhavi Bhoir (Librarian), with the second day's session led by Asst. Prof. Suraj Bhalerao. The program was conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Sanavi Deshmukh, I/C Principal of the college. The session was graced by presence of esteemed guest, Hon’ble Shri. Y.T. Deshmukh Sir (Vice Chairman of JBSP Sanstha, Pasnvel). The Session started with welcoming of the guest and dignitaries and a brief welcome note delivered by Asst. Prof. Suraj Bhalerao introducing the Lecture Series and Janardan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha. The guest speaker for the second day, Adv. (Dr) Ashok Yende. Managing Partner at Yende Legal Associate & Former HOD, Department of Law, University of Mumbai. Department of Law, University of Mumbai, delivered an insightful lecture on the topic of "Changing Dimension of Legal Education and Legal Profession." He also addressed Justice Delivery System in India. In his address he involved the minds of the audience around the discussion on the evolving landscape of legal education and the legal profession in India. His address focused on the dynamic changes impacting both the academic and practical aspects of law, culminating in a discussion on the current state of the Justice Delivery System in India. The address was followed by an interactive session between the students and the guest speaker which helped young inquisitive minds to satisfy their curiosity. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Disha Dhone, while Ms. Apoorva Jadhav skilfully anchored the session, ensuring seamless coordination throughout.
