Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel, organized the B.A. LL.B. Orientation Programme for the Academic Year 2026–27 on 3rd October 2026
Janardan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha’s Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel, organized the B.A. LL.B. Orientation Programme for the Academic Year 2026–27 on 3rd October 2026 in the Seminar Hall. The programme was organized to welcome the newly admitted B.A. LL.B. students and their parents and to familiarize them with the College, academic structure, facilities, faculty members and various student-support activities.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and photo poojan, followed by the National Anthem and Maharashtra Geet. The dignitaries were formally welcomed with saplings. Dr. Sanavi Abhishek Deshmukh, In-charge Principal, addressed the gathering and welcomed the newly admitted students and parents. She guided the students regarding the importance of discipline, academic commitment, professional ethics and active participation throughout their legal education.
The students were introduced to Janardan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha and the history, vision, infrastructure and academic environment of Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law. Information regarding the various programmes offered by the College, including the Five-Year B.A. LL.B., Three-Year LL.B. and LL.M. programmes, as well as various certificate and professional courses, was also shared.
A detailed B.A. LL.B. Course Orientation was conducted by Asst. Prof. Dhanashri M. Chougale, B.A. LL.B. Coordinator. Students were guided regarding the academic structure, syllabus, subjects, practical training, internships, committees, competitions and career opportunities available during the five-year programme. Faculty members were introduced to the students, along with various student-support mechanisms and committees such as NSS, DLLE, Legal Aid, Moot Court Society, Debate Society, Placement Cell, Women Development Cell, Cultural and Sports Departments, Anti-Ragging Committee and Student Council.
The programme also provided students with an overview of career opportunities, library facilities, examination rules, research activities and other academic and extracurricular opportunities available at the College. The dignitaries shared valuable guidance and encouraged students to make effective use of the opportunities provided by the institution.
Adv. Gayatri Ware, an alumna of the College, was invited as the guest for the programme. She shared her experiences as a student and motivated the newly admitted batch to actively participate in various academic and co-curricular competitions, attend lectures regularly, and volunteer for different college activities and initiatives. She encouraged the students to make the most of their college life by actively engaging in diverse opportunities, developing their skills and building confidence alongside their academic journey.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, followed by Vande Mataram and a Group Photograph. The Orientation Programme proved informative and encouraging and provided the newly admitted students with a clear understanding of their academic journey and the opportunities available at Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law.
