In line with the Nationwide Swachhata Abhiyan initiative on Focusing Cleanliness on the theme ‘Ek Divas, Ek Tass, Ek Saath’, the NSS unit of Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law has participated in Cleanliness Drive at Shiv Mandir Lake, Khanda Colony organised by Panvel Municipal Corporation on 25th September at 10:00 am. This initiative was aimed at keeping our surroundings clean, protecting the environment, and spreading awareness about the importance of hygiene in our community which was organised on the occasion of birth Anniversary of Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay. The event was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. Sanavi Deshmukh Ma’am and NSS Chief Program officer Asst. Prof. Suraj Bhalerao.
The NSS volunteers actively participated in various cleaning activities, demonstrating their dedication and commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. Volunteers thoroughly cleaned Lake Premises and common areas were also cleaned, ensuring proper waste disposal and sanitation. Volunteers tended to the lake side gardens and lawns, promoting a healthy and aesthetically pleasing environment.
The Swachhata Abhiyan not only resulted in a cleaner Khandeshwar Lake premises but also fostered a sense of responsibility and community spirit among the NSS volunteers. The event served as a valuable opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and encourage active participation in maintaining a healthy environment.
The NSS Swachhata Abhiyan at Shiv Mandir Lake, Khanda Colony was a resounding success. The enthusiastic participation of volunteers, coupled with the dedicated guidance of the program officer contributed significantly to the positive outcome of the drive. This initiative served as a testament as a commitment of college to promoting cleanliness and social responsibility among its students.
