The International Women’s Day was celebrated on 20th March 2026 at Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel, under the guidance of our Principal, Dr Sanavi Deshmukh, through the collaborative efforts of the BA LL.B Coordinator and Women Development Committee (WDC), Asst. Prof. Dhanashree Kadam, National Day Celebration Committee, , incharge Asst. Prof. Dr. Mamta Bhattacharjee and Cultural Committee, incharge Asst. Prof. Aishwarya Patole.
The program was centered around the theme “Women in Drafting of Our Constitution”. As part of the celebration, students actively participated by creating insightful and creative posters reflecting the invaluable contributions of women in the framing of the Indian Constitution. The posters beautifully captured the historical significance and role of women in shaping the nation’s legal foundation.
The event commenced with a warm introduction and anchoring by Asst. Prof. Aishwarya Patole, who set an engaging tone for the program. Students who participated also expressed their thoughts and perspectives, speaking in favour of the remarkable women contributors to the drafting of our Constitution. Their speeches reflected awareness, appreciation, and inspiration drawn from these pioneering women.
Asst. Prof. Dhanashree Kadam, WDC Incharge and BA LL.B Coordinator, presented a detailed report on the functioning and initiatives undertaken by the Women Development Committee during the academic year 2025–2026. Her report highlighted the committee’s continuous efforts towards empowerment, awareness, and development of students.
The celebration was further enriched by an inspiring address delivered by the Principal, Dr. Sanavi Deshmukh, who motivated students to recognize and uphold the values of equality, dignity, and empowerment in their academic and professional journeys.
The institution extends heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated efforts of Principal Dr. Sanavi Deshmukh, BA LL.B Coordinator Asst. Prof. Dhanashree Kadam, National Day Celebration Committee Incharge Asst. Prof. Dr. Mamta Bhattacharjee, and Cultural Committee Incharge Asst. Prof. Aishwarya Patole for successfully organizing and guiding the event.
The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mamta Bhattacharjee, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their enthusiastic participation and support.
The Women’s Day Celebration was a meaningful and inspiring event that successfully highlighted the contributions of women in nation-building while encouraging students to reflect on the importance of gender equality and empowerment.
