                    On the occasion of celebrating 75th birth anniversary of our chairman Shri Ramsheth Thakur sir, the Moot Court Society of Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel, organized the Hon’ble Shri Ramsheth Thakur Intra-Collegiate Moot Court Competition on 11th October 2025 under the guidance of the In-charge Principal of Dr. Sanavi Deshmukh Ma’am and co-ordinatorship of Asst. Prof. Aparajita Gupta.
A total of 27 students from both B.A. LL.B. and LL.B. programs enthusiastically participated in the competition. The event comprised three rounds - Preliminary, Semi-final, and Final rounds which provided students with a practical exposure to courtroom proceedings and advocacy skills.
The rounds were judged by esteemed legal professionals, who evaluated the participants on their legal reasoning, articulation, and court manners. The Final Round Bench included distinguished judge from the legal fraternity, Hon’ble Shri. Omkar Sane Sir,CJ JD Belapur and JMFC, and our proud alumnus Adv Shri Rushikesh Patil, who recently cleared the JMFC Examination and has been recommended for the post of JMFC.
The Moot Court Society volunteers and student council members contributed significantly to the smooth conduct of the event. The competition proved to be an enriching experience for budding legal minds, fostering analytical thinking, teamwork, and advocacy proficiency.
The event concluded with a Valedictory and Prize Distribution ceremony in which five awards including Best Team, Best Runner-up Team, Best Memorial, Best Researcher and Best Mooter was given followed by the Felicitation Ceremony of Adv. Rushikesh Patil Sir. The session ended on a high note, celebrating academic excellence and alumni achievements.
