The court visit undertaken by LL.B 2nd year students of Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel, for their Practical Training - II subject.

The visit was conducted with the kind permission of the Belapur Court and under the guidance of I/C Principal Mrs. Sanavi A. Deshmukh of Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law. The Navi Mumbai Bar Association members provided valuable assistance during the visit. The visit was conducted in two days 20th and 21st  September 2024. Asst. Prof. Anam Mehandikar, Asst. Prof. Raghav Sharma and Asst. Prof. Dr. Kranti Bhovate acting as faculty coordinators, took the initiative to ensure the success of the court visit.

The students participated in the following activities during the court visit:

1)              Courtroom Observation: Students observed court proceedings. They witnessed interactions between judges, lawyers, and parties involved in the dispute.

2)              Interaction with Lawyers: Students had the opportunity to interact with practicing lawyers who specialize in their practicing fields. These interactions provided valuable insights into the practical aspects of practicing in court , including strategies, techniques, and ethical considerations.

3)              Discussion: Following the observations and interactions, students participated in a discussion session, a short lecture facilitated by the Navi Mumbai Bar Association Members and faculty coordinators. The session focused on analysing the observed cases, discussing the effectiveness and role of the law and lawyers and exploring its potential for wider application.

The court visit proved to be a valuable learning experience for the students. It provided them with a first-hand understanding of the practical applications Students gained insights into the various stages of the cases they observe, the role of different participants, and the challenges encountered in its implementation. The court visit was instrumental in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application for Law students from Bhagubai Changu Thakur College engaged in Practical Training - II The experience further equips them to become future legal professionals equipped with a comprehensive understanding of both litigation and to become good lawyer.
