The Health Committee of Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law organized a Sahaja Yoga Meditation Workshop on 27th September at 10:30 a.m. in the college Seminar Hall. The workshop aimed at introducing students to the practice of meditation for achieving balance of the mind, body, and soul, and to promote overall well-being among the youth.
The session began with a warm welcome by Ms. Arya Kanade, a student of 4th Year B.A.LL.B followed by a brief introductory talk by the Sahaja Yoga meditation team, who explained the concept and benefits of meditation in today’s stressful lifestyle. They highlighted how meditation can help students improve concentration, reduce anxiety, and cultivate inner peace.
The event was guided and supported by Principal Dr. Sanvi Deshmukh, whose encouragement has always been instrumental in promoting student-centered activities. The workshop was organized under the supervision of Assistant Professor Shilpa Nagaonkar, Health Committee In-Charge, who ensured smooth coordination of the event.
The meditation trainers then conducted a guided meditation session, where students were taken through simple yet effective techniques of Sahaja Yoga. The focus was on relaxation, self-awareness, and harmonizing inner energy. The students actively participated in the session and experienced a sense of calmness and rejuvenation. The trainers also emphasized the importance of practicing meditation regularly for holistic growth and maintaining mental and physical health.
The workshop, though brief, provided valuable insights into the art of meditation and its role in managing stress and enhancing productivity. It served as an eye-opening experience for many students who were introduced to meditation for the first time.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Tapanmohan Karveer, a 4th year B.L.L.B. student, who expressed gratitude towards the Principal, the Health Committee, the Sahaja Yoga meditation team, and all the participants for making the workshop a success.
Overall, the Sahaja Yoga Meditation Workshop proved to be a fruitful initiative, leaving the students refreshed, relaxed, and motivated to adopt meditation as a part of their daily lives.
